Venue : Christ University, Bangalore

We were happy to oblige the students of the Masters in Psychology in Human Resource Development and Management (MPHR) at Christ University, with a seminar on Organizational Alignment. These students in their 2nd semester, came from diverse academic backgrounds with some field experience in Human Resource departments of various companies.

While we had limited time, their engagement was whole hearted and enthusiastic. The first thing we did was get them out of their seats and give them a hands-on experience of the values we believe are fundamental to an organization – trust and mutuality.

We then explored what it means for an organization to be truly aligned on a personal, role, goal, and business level. Most students had never viewed an organization from this perspective before, and there were several “Wow” moments for all of us.

Our session ended with a case study scenario using our Business Aligner Model, where students were first introduced to the Model and then conceptualized their dreams and innovative practices to realize them.

It may be a cliché to say that these students are the future of Indian management consultancy, but that doesn’t make it any less true. So while we are grateful to them for the opportunity to share our experiences, we also look to them for great things to come.
